Ronnie won his sixth Masters title on January 17, 2016, having taken a 8 months sabbatical earlier in the season. It was in fact his first televised event in 2015/2016.

Doing so he equalled Stephen Hendry’s record of 6 Masters and became the man with most matches played in the prestigious tournament: he’s now on 63, Jimmy White being second with 61.
