Ronnie won his sixth UK Championship title on December 10, 2017 in York. This brought him even with Steve Davis six UK crowns. He also equalled Stephen Hendry 18 “Major” titles.

Ronnie had to batlle throughout the tournament, being far from his best, but he found something special during the last session of the final: from 5-5 to 5-10 he played some really awsome stuff. He made 10 centuries during the event.
