Ronnie won his 33rd ranking title, and his fifth of the 2017/18 season on 25 March 2018. Doing so he equalled the record of most ranking titles in the same season, a joint record held by Stephen Hendry, Mark Selby, Ding Junhui and now Ronnie. Remarkably he has won five of the ten ranking event he competed in so far in that season.
