The English Open is the first event of snooker’s brand new Home Nations Series. 128 players will be battling it out for a £366,000 prize pot. The likes of Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, Judd Trump and Neil Robertson will all be in action.
Once again Ronnie has been handed a tricky opponent: Jimmy Robertson. Jimmy earlier this week almost knocked John Higgins out of the European Masters. He’s a terrific potter and a very good break builder, give him a chance he will likely score very heavily. Their match is scheduled on Tuesday 11 October at 7 pm (UK time)
They have also announced that the Scottish Open Trophy will be named after 7th time World Champion Stephen Hendry.
