Following the conclusion of the qualifiers round,WST has published the draw and format for the 2021 English Open :
The draw and format for the final stages of the BetVictor English Open in Milton Keynes is now available.
The tournament will run from November 1 to 7 at the Marshall Arena, Stadium MK. It’s the second BetVictor Home Nations Series event of the season.
Judd Trump will be defending the title in a strong field, also featuring Mark Selby, Ronnie O’Sullivan, John Higgins, Neil Robertson, Shaun Murphy, Kyren Wilson, Mark Williams, Stephen Hendry and many more.
Ronnie hasn’t a particularly easy opener as he will face the reigning Seniors World Champion David Lilley. David is a very capable player! He will play a 7pm UK time on November 1, 2021. Judd Trump, the defending Champion could have got an easier opponent than Matt Selt as well.
This tournament should see the return of Ding and On Yee’s debut. On Yee has been handed a very tough opponent in Stuart Bingham.
The two most interesting “held-over” matches are probably Kyren Wilson v Noppon Saengkham and Mark Allen v Luca Brecel. Noppon has recently started to work with Sightright.
