CBSA Tour – Huangguoshu – Day 4 and some score sheets

Two rounds were played today in Huangguoshu, the last 16 and the QFs.

Here is what happened and what awaits us tomorrow

Thanks to a Chinese fan I follow on weibo …

Here are some of the detailed scores:

From yesterday…

And today Judd Trump last 16 and the QFs

Zhao Hanyang was the only quarter-finalist who isn’t a main tour professional player.

The score of the Wilson v Allen match surprised me a bit.

Also some images of the venue and action

From this, it seems that the main table is in one room and the three other tables in another room. Both room with seats for spectators. The main table has seats on three sides.

I didn’t see much of today’s action. Judd Trump looked very strong against Cao Yupeng.

  1. I must have missed something, but why Ronnie is not playing this, when he seems to love China?

    • Same thoughts here, as his British Open Qualifiers is in main arena.

However this event is much less appealing to an exhibition in a city. As a player, he needs to spare at least a week in the arena(and probably nowhere else due to the remoteness of arena), unless he knows he is losing in R1~2(which is not likely in his personal standard.).

But in last exhibition in Shanghai, he could have days free for personal sightseeing/commercial stuff(like Judd did) to nearby cities, given same amount of time.

    • Balvark is very probably right. It’s a very long trip, it’s not a main city. Also after all it’s still holiday time. Maybe there where other plans already with family.

  2. Gutted with little spectators but that is normal considering the difficulty reaching the venue.

(watching final/semifinal is possible if spectators have regular 2 days off per week.)

Would be nice if the event is publicized earlier next time.
